the fuck erik? this isn’t a book club. if i see one more genai essay, you’re reading it aloud to the team. seriously, swing by my office. let's have a chat.
Come on... Long GenAI email essays aren’t impressing anyone (anymore...). They’re just a new way to burn out people and clog up inboxes. If your “update” needs a table of contents, something’s gone wrong.
Get this in your head:
❌ Nobody really reads your long emails or 89-page reports.
❌ Are you even working, or just hammering the “generate” button?
❌ You overwhelm everyone. After page one, people “save for later” and never come back.
❌ That key thing your boss is actually interested in? Probably buried somewhere on page 52.
Do this instead

thanks, taking a look in the afternoon.
GenAI isn’t here to make your emails or reports longer. It’s here to make everything smarter and way less painful. When used well, it helps you skip the grunt work, boost clarity, and move projects forward instead of slowing them down.
Here’s how to actually use GenAI to your advantage:
✅ Use GenAI to organize and summarize complex data for your reports, saving yourself hours of manual effort.
✅ Rely on GenAI to clarify language and remove jargon, so your audience quickly understands the main points.
✅ Apply GenAI to maintain a consistent style and format, especially when you’re combining input from several people.
✅ Automate repetitive tasks like checking grammar and formatting, giving yourself more time for real analysis and decisions.
✅ Let GenAI help you make your reports more actionable and easier to digest, so everyone can focus on the key insights, not the noise.
